Scooter Rental Terms & Conditions
The renter agrees to rent a motorized scooter from Okinawa North Scooter Rental under the following terms and conditions:
1. Liability Waiver
The renter hereby releases and discharges Okinawa North Scooter Rental, including its owner and employees, from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action for bodily injury, property damage, loss, death, medical expenses, or any other financial loss incurred by the renter or third parties resulting from the renter's use, control, or operation of the rental vehicle.
2. Renter Qualifications and Responsibilities
• The renter affirms that they are capable of and legally qualified to operate the rental vehicle and agrees that the vehicle is for their exclusive use.
• The renter shall confirm that the rental vehicle is in safe, legal, and roadworthy condition upon delivery.
3. Fuel Policy
• Each rental vehicle must be returned with a full tank of fuel.
• If the vehicle is not returned full, the renter agrees to pay a refueling and service fee of ¥1,000 per vehicle.
4. Personal Belongings and Accessories
• Okinawa North Scooter Rental is not responsible for theft of personal belongings left in the rental vehicle.
• Okinawa North Scooter Rental is not liable for damage to personal devices resulting from use of the vehicle’s phone holder.
• The renter is responsible for securing all personal belongings during the rental period.
5. Equipment Responsibility
The renter agrees to be financially responsible for the replacement cost of the key and helmet if not returned in their original condition, excluding normal wear and tear.
6. Traffic Violations and Legal Compliance
The renter is responsible for all traffic violations and related costs incurred during the rental period, including towage, storage, and parking fines.
7. Rental Period and Return Policy
• No refunds will be issued for unused rental time if the vehicle is returned earlier than scheduled.
• Late returns are subject to additional charges.
8. Deposits and Advance Payments
• All deposits and advance payments made to secure a booking are non-refundable.
• Deposits and advance payments will be forfeited in the event of a no-show.
9. Failure to Provide Legal Documentation
• The renter is solely responsible for ensuring they possess all legally required documentation to operate a motorized scooter in Japan.
• Failure to present valid documentation at the time of rental will result in refusal of service, and any advance payment will be forfeited. No refunds or credits will be issued.
10. No-Show Policy
• A no-show is defined as failure to arrive at the scheduled rental time without prior notice.
• A 1-hour grace period is provided. After this, the reservation may be released.
• Renters must inform Okinawa North Scooter Rental of any expected delays to avoid being marked as a no-show.
11. Insurance Coverage – Accidents and Injuries
• Insurance covers up to ¥20,000,000 per person in healthcare costs for the renter and any passenger.
• If a third party is involved and the renter is at fault, insurance provides unlimited healthcare coverage for the third party.
12. Insurance Coverage – Theft and Certain Damages
• Coverage includes theft, fire, explosions, typhoons, hurricanes, floods, graffiti, falling objects, animal collisions, and hit-and-runs perpetrated by a third party, specifically affecting the rental vehicle.
• The renter is responsible for the first ¥30,000 of repair costs to the rental vehicle in these cases.
13. Insurance Exclusions
• The following damages to the rental vehicle are not covered: tipping, dropping, losing balance, slipping, damage from earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, collisions with fixed objects, or use of the wrong fuel.
• The renter will be fully liable for all repair costs to the rental vehicle in these situations.
14. Third-Party Accidents and Bicycle Collisions
• If the renter is at fault, insurance covers third-party vehicle repairs, with the renter responsible for the first ¥30,000.
• Bicycle collisions are not covered. The renter is fully liable for all associated damages.
15. Accident Reporting Obligations
• The renter must stop driving immediately after any accident and comply with all legal reporting requirements.
• The renter must notify Okinawa North Scooter Rental and cooperate fully with insurance and legal procedures.
16. Use of Personal Information
The renter consents to the use of their personal information for legal, insurance, and rental-related matters.
17. Governing Law
Matters not addressed in these terms shall be governed by the laws, regulations, and general customs of Japan.
Snorkel Rental Terms & Conditions
By renting snorkeling equipment from Okinawa North Snorkel Rental, the renter agrees to the following terms:
1. Assumption of Risk
The renter understands that snorkeling involves inherent risks, including serious injury or death, and voluntarily accepts full responsibility for all associated risks.
2. Independent Use
The renter acknowledges that the rental includes equipment only. Okinawa North Snorkel Rental provides no guidance, supervision, or advice regarding snorkeling locations or ocean conditions.
3. Site and Risk Assessment
The renter is solely responsible for selecting safe snorkeling locations and assessing conditions such as weather, currents, and marine life.
4. Release of Liability
The renter uses the equipment at their own risk and releases Okinawa North Snorkel Rental, its owner, agents, and employees from any liability related to injury, death, property damage, or other loss.
5. Equipment Condition
The renter confirms the equipment is in good condition upon receipt and suitable for its intended use.
6. Proper Use
The renter agrees to use the equipment responsibly and only as intended, without modification.
7. Return Condition & Replacement
The renter is financially responsible for any damage or loss beyond normal wear and tear and agrees to return the equipment in the condition it was received.
8. No Refunds for Early Return
No refunds will be issued for early returns or unused rental time.
9. Late Returns
Late returns may incur additional charges.
10. Non-Refundable Deposits
All advance payments and deposits are non-refundable. These payments secure the booking and are forfeited in the event of a no-show.
11. No-Show Policy
A no-show is defined as failure to arrive within one hour of the scheduled rental time without prior notice. In such cases, the reservation may be canceled and equipment released.
To avoid a no-show status, renters must notify Okinawa North Snorkel Rental in advance of any delays or changes.
12. Use of Personal Information
The renter consents to the collection and use of personal information for rental communications and legal purposes.
Tropical Frog Terms & Conditions
To ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable stay, we kindly ask our guests to review and follow these terms and conditions.
1. General Policies
Guests must comply with these rules; violations may result in restricted access or termination of stay.
The guesthouse is for accommodation only. Commercial activities, events, and parties are not allowed.
The owners are not liable for accidents, damages, or injuries caused by non-compliance with these rules.
2. Check-in & Checkout
Check-in: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Check-out: By 10:00 AM
Late Checkout: Available for ¥1,000 per hour (subject to availability).
Key Return: Please return the keys at checkout. A brief inspection will be conducted, so allow extra time.
3. Occupancy Limit
Maximum of 3 adults.
If staying with children (younger than 12 years old), a maximum of 4 guests is allowed.
4. Smoking Policy
Smoking is prohibited indoors.
Please use the designated outdoor smoking area.
5. Waste Separation & Cleanliness
Please dispose of trash in the designated bins.
PET bottles: Remove the cap and label, dispose of them as burnable waste, and place the bottles in the recyclable bin.
A quick rinse helps prevent insects.
Only flush provided toilet paper. Sanitary products, wipes, and tissues must be disposed of in the trash bin.
6. Parking
Guests may park only in the designated area in front of the log house.
Parking in undesignated areas is prohibited, as this may disturb neighbors.
7. BBQ Facilities
Guests may use the electric BBQ grill free of charge.
Please inform us of your preferred start time at check-in.
We provide necessary equipment: tongs, disposable chopsticks, paper plates, cups, salt, and pepper.
Cleanup will be handled by the owners.
8. Pets
Pets are not allowed, except for guide, hearing, and service dogs.
9. Safety & Conduct
Turn off heating devices and cooking appliances before leaving.
Prohibited Items:
Items with strong odors and large quantities of belongings.
Explosives, flammable substances, hazardous materials and weapons.
Any items posing a safety risk to guests.
Behaviour Guidelines:
Avoid loud noises or disturbances. Guests causing disruptions may be asked to leave.
Tampering with guesthouse equipment is prohibited.
10. Front Desk & Wi-Fi
Reception Hours: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM
If you need assistance, ring the bell at reception.
Free Wi-Fi is available—SSID and password are posted inside the log house.
11. Additional Rules
Lost keys incur a ¥10,000 replacement fee.
No visitors are allowed in guest rooms after 10:00 PM.
Minors must have guardian consent to stay.
Stay extensions must be requested in advance, with payment settled promptly.
Payments accepted: Cash or card.
Commercial use of guesthouse photos is prohibited and may result in legal action.
Any matters not covered by these terms fall under Japanese laws and regulations.
Violation of these terms may result in termination of stay.
12. Non-Refundable Deposits and Advance Payments
• Deposits or advance payments made to secure email bookings are non-refundable. Tropical Frog 沖縄 understands that plans may change, but guests should note that the advance payment is used to hold the booking.
• All reservations require a non-refundable advance payment at the time of booking. This payment secures the booking and will be forfeited in the event of a no-show.
